About us

The Löwen - Hotel & Gasthof - in Ulm-Wiblingen has been an integral part of the Wiblingen district for over 200 years.
The inn is first mentioned in the documents of the Wiblingen Monastery during the secularization of 1802.

The inn is owned by family Geiger, now in its third generation.

My family comes from the Alb region around Blaubeuren and has always been in the hospitality and butchery industry.
Even a small brewery in Senden was once owned by the family.

My grandparents Hermann & Philomena Geiger bought the inn and butcher's shop in 1937 and expanded it.
Our Great Lion Hall with its historic wooden barrel ceiling was also built at this time.

Then the next generation around my parents Michael & Hedwig Geiger and their siblings took over
Hermann & Emilie Geiger managed the family business and built it with the help of their children and grandchildren
the offer and services continue to expand.

Since 2007 my wife Petra and I have taken over the helm.
In 2008 we decided to fundamentally restructure the business and gave up the butcher's business.
After a year-long construction phase and extensive renovation work, our house now has a restaurant
approx. 150 places in a 4-star conference hotel.

Our new building in a modern country house style includes 25 modern studio rooms and six multifunctional conference rooms. Our restaurant has been expanded to include a further, cozy guest room (for 60 people) and a stylish bar lounge. The restaurant is open daily and offers fine cuisine until 10pm.

We look forward to welcoming you in our house.
